How Can I Operate the Hobot 388?

There are 3 control options available for this Hobot model. A remote control is included in the package. This allows easy operation of the window robot. Direction buttons, start-stop, and cleaning mode selection are available. Besides the remote control, the eziclean Hobot 388 can also be operated via smartphone or directly via the start-pause button on the robot. The app control works via Bluetooth, so you need to be close to the robot to use smartphone control. The Hobot app is available for free download in the iOS and Android stores.

How Does the Hobot 388 Clean the Surface?

On the underside of the device are 2 rotating holders. Microfiber pads are attached to these.

The reusable and washable pads are secured to the holders with an elastic band. The removable tank holds 24 ml and can be filled with cleaning solution or water. During operation, the window cleaning robot sprays a fine mist every 15 micrometers (μm). With its rotating and zig-zag movement, it passes over the surface and cleans it in two passes. Cleaning can be done either dry (without tank content) or with spray mist.

How Long Does the Window Robot Take for 1m²?

The eziclean Hobot 388 window cleaning robot takes about 4 minutes for 1 m². However, this also depends on the degree of dirt and the type of surface.

Window Robot with Mains Operation and Emergency Battery

The Hobot 388 must be connected to power throughout the entire cleaning time. We always recommend using the safety rope during operation. This is included in the package.

If there is a power interruption, the window robot will signal audibly and its emergency battery will activate. However, the capacity of this battery is not very high; you have a maximum of 20 minutes to manually remove the robot from the window.

Slanted or inclined surfaces like skylights or glass roofs of conservatories are not suitable for safe use.
 
The reason: On slanted surfaces, the adhesion of the window cleaning robot cannot be reliably guaranteed – even with models using vacuum technology. The risk of falling is too high.
